Rally 4 Rhett Cancer Fundraiser w/ S.O.R Enduro Racing

A Remarkable Journey: Join us in supporting Rhett's fight.

Over the past ten weeks, our family has navigated a challenging path. Our beloved 4-year-old, Rhett, faced

unexpected health issues that demanded urgent medical attention. Initially, we believed it was a simple urinary

tract infection (UTI), but alarming signs like blood in Rhett's urine urged us to act. In the late hours at 2:30 am,

we rushed him to the children's hospital. In the ER, our concern was met with action. Blood tests were

conducted, followed by an ultrasound, revealing a mass in Rhett's bladder with a substantial blood supply.

Urgent referral to urology led to further evaluation and treatment. The medical team devised a comprehensive

plan, swiftly adapting to challenges. Anesthesia was used for a biopsy and the subsequent CT scan due to

Rhett's discomfort. The biopsy marked the start of our admission for ongoing care. In an emotionally intense

meeting, we faced the reality: cancer had spread to Rhett's lungs, ribs, and liver. An indescribably tough day

united us as a family, clinging to each other for strength. Amidst the adversity, a glimmer of hope emerged.

Cancer hadn't infiltrated his bones or marrow, offering a silver lining. Guided by our medical team, Rhett's

brave journey stretches ahead, spanning ten months of treatment. A regimented course of 42 chemotherapy

rounds and 33 radiation sessions is our battle plan. Rhett's path forward has taken a promising turn, as he has

been selected to undergo Proton therapy, a specialized form of radiation treatment, in Jacksonville, Florida.

This pivotal step in his journey is the reason he couldn't join us at this fundraiser. We eagerly await his return,

anticipated at the start of November, with hearts full of hope and gratitude. The outpouring of support from all

those who have rallied for Rhett has created an unwavering fortress of strength around him, resembling an

army of love and encouragement that we are forever thankful for. From our hearts to yours: a heartfelt thank

you for standing alongside Rhett, bolstering his fight during this unforeseen chapter.
